Are you interested in hiring a safety consulting company to help with your ISNetworld® compliance and wondering what you can expect to pay? The answer varies widely depending on the quality of service, the number of safety programs your company needs, and how much support you require. Like with most things, you get what you pay for, and you should make sure you understand the scope of services you are getting before you sign a service agreement.
Basic Safety Program Implementation and Monitoring
At the basic level are companies that provide basic turnkey implementation by completing your ISNetworld® questionnaire and uploading generic safety programs as needed to fulfill the minimum requirements. There is an initial charge for implementation which can vary between $800 and $1,000. Once the account is set up and the programs are uploaded, you are charged a monthly monitoring fee that can vary between $100 and $300 per month. This is the least expensive solution available, but may not be the best value in the long run.
Enhanced Safety Consulting Services
Some consulting firms provide enhanced procurement monitoring packages that include consulting hours. The start-up costs with these companies will be about the same, from about $800 to $1200 to get your safety programs created and uploaded. The monthly monitoring fee for these providers is usually between $250 and $500 per month, but you have the benefit of having a professional safety consultant on call should you need help with any safety issues. The included consulting help provides peace of mind and gets you a few hours of safety consulting without having to incur additional hourly fees.
Complete Safety Outsourcing Packages
If you want the benefits of a complete virtual safety department, you should consider a complete safety outsourcing package. Many consultants provide packaged safety services on monthly retainer basis. These packages usually include ISNetworld® and other procurement site monitoring, safety consulting, safety program reviews, safety coaching, OSHA record keeping, safety meetings, OSHA inspection response, and more. Prices vary widely depending on the hours included and the categories of services provided, but you can expect to pay anywhere from $1,000 per month for a very basic plan to $6,000 per month for one that includes everything. This can be a great value because it allows you to completely outsource safety and get access to a highly qualified team of safety professionals for a reasonable monthly fee.
